Frequently Asked Questions
99% of burial grounds in the UK state, that the material used for headstones, must be from natural rock of the finest quality.
Granite is our stone of choice. It is beautiful to look at, extremely hardwearing and our "Headstone Protection System" works beautifully with it.
Yes, our headstones are allowed in every burial ground within the UK.
Many state burial grounds are flexible with designs and allow for creative expressions, while churchyards tend to be stricter, often permitting only text with a border, they are all different.
We will follow the guidelines set out by the burial ground and create the perfect memorial for you.
We take every possible measure to prevent the images on headstones from fading. Our advanced triple-lock protection system provides 99.1% protection against UV rays, significantly reducing the effects of sun damage and keeping the colours vibrant for many years.
Over time, images may begin to fade organically, but as the stone weathers naturally, the images will age alongside it, creating a harmonious effect. Additionally, our headstone protection system helps slow down the weathering process.
Absolutely! Our designers are ready to collaborate with you to create the memorial you envision.
For instance, if you would like a football team logo alongside a portrait and a silhouette of a footballer, we can make
that happen. Alternatively, if you prefer to have four portrait photos and an image of the family dog, we can achieve that as well.
Our designers can make anything.
The timing for headstone placement depends on several factors, primarily the rules of the burial ground. Typically, these rules require a waiting period of at least six months after the burial. However, some burial grounds are now allowing for an earlier placement if a concrete base is used.
Once we determine when we are allowed to install the memorial, we can create the artwork and submit it for approval. The manufacturing process typically proceeds quickly, allowing us to have the headstone fitted in as little as eight weeks (burial ground-dependent).
We offer a 30-year guarantee on the stone itself and a 20-year guarantee for the installation (provided no acts of god affect the land).
For the artwork, we provide a 10-year guarantee, although we expect it to last much longer than that.
A £99 deposit starts the process, this enables our designers to create your custom design.
After discussing your requirements with our team, we require a 50% deposit to start the manufacturing process. This includes any photo restoration and detailed design work.
Once we have an installation date, we will ask for the remaining balance before fitting the memorial.
During the design phase, you can make changes freely until you approve the final design. Once the design is finalised and production begins, any changes will incur additional costs.
Once the headstone protection system has been applied and the stonemason has carved the letters, we will be unable to accommodate any further changes.
If you cancel your order before the design has been approved, you will receive a 50% refund of your initial deposit. Once the designs are approved, we will begin the manufacturing process, and at that stage, your deposit will become non-refundable.
We provide headstone and tablet fitting services throughout the UK. Our prices include fitting within the West Midlands area, but we fit headstones anywhere in the UK for a small fee per mile.
Outside our fitting area, we partner with other BRAMM registered stonemasons, who fit the memorial on our behalf.
